Directions: When applying for Connecticut Driver's license, applicants must take and successfully pass a knowledge exam. The Connecticut Knowledge exam consists of 25 questions. You must score 80% to pass that exam. The following questions are based on the details provided in the Connecticut Driver License Manual. Please study the manual before taking the test. 1. The proper way in which to make a right turn is:
  • Slow down and get into the lane nearest the centerline.

  • Approach the corner in the lane nearest the right curb, but move over toward the middle of the street before turning.

  • Signal and get into the lane nearest the right curb.

2. When following another vehicle you should use:
  • Low beams

  • High beams

  • Parking lights

3. When is it OK to drive faster than the posted speed limit?
  • As long as it takes to safely pass another vehicle

  • If you don't see any other traffic in your lane
